Box Tops

Box Tops for Education is an easy way to generate income for the classrooms and teachers at Swanson. The checks received from this program are eligible to be used for anything including classroom parties, books, computers, art supplies and everything else school related.

Brands that offer box tops are: General Mills, Betty Crocker, Reynolds, Ziploc, Hefty, Cascadian Farms, Old El Paso, Green Giant, Progresso, Hefty, Motts, Pillsbury, Yoplait and Scotts. In order for Swanson to benefit from the Box Tops, all you need to do is cut out the box top, verify that the expiration date has not passed, and leave the box tops in the drop off bin next to the water fountains.
The Swanson School Box Top Coordinators then proceed to sort and count the box tops for submission. Each box top is worth $0.10, and although that does not seem like much, it rapidly accrues. There are two official submission deadlines each year, being November 1 and March 1, and checks resulting from these deadlines are mailed in December and April respectively. In the 2014-2015 school year, Swanson raised $506.40.
